Though Mad Men creator Matt Weiner famously holds his cards very, very (very) close to the vest, there is one thing he was willing to reveal about Season 6, when TVLine spoke with him about the AMC drama’s latest haul of 17 Emmy nominations.
Jon Hamm is traveling back in time again, though not to the ’60s. EW has learned that the Mad Men actor will guest star in an upcoming episode of the Adult Swim comedy Childrens Hospital, playing the institution’s founder, Arthur Childrens, in several ’30s-set flashbacks.
The votes are in, and “Mad Men” newcomer Ben Feldman scored an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of the AMC drama’s fast-talking Michael Ginsberg in the Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series category.
The Academy is still mad for Mad Men, which for a fourth straight year has garnered the most Emmy Award nominations of any drama series, with 17. The AMC series’ latest bounty – including Jon Hamm for Lead Actor, Elisabeth Moss for Lead Actress, directing and three writing bids – also make it the most-nominated basic cable drama of all time, with 85 nods to date.
